Pistons need to be BPA mode still

Feel like there is still serious reputational and legal availability risk w Miller. I’d love it if ownership instructed ‘do not draft’.
I really want Miller or Walker to be BPA when we pick. Some scouts now saying Miller is maybe on par with Scoot. I wonder if that is really actually the case. Tend to doubt it.
Really impressed with how much he’s worked on his weaknesses (midrange, passing, 3pt%.) He’s even gotten better defensively. Lot of great stuff on tape here.
His shot isn’t perfect form but it looks so much better than what I first saw as a freshman at Purdue. Other things too but I’m focused on the shot here.
4 man all day.
I’m not interested in walker. I don’t think ‘better Stewart’ is gonna get the pistons where they want to go.
UMHOOPS PISTONS DRAFT BOARD
Who should the Pistons take with their first pick?

Lol you should have skipped right to #2
Have to do our due diligence.
As a rookie, Scoot could be like Harden was at OKC. Or have Cade as a SF.
this draft feels like Scoot + Wemby and ten forwards that all seem the same. Do you want Small forward A over Small Forward B? Find out which one is good.
I disagree. I think Weaver will take Scoot if the Pistons get the #2 pick. Not only BPA, but everything I’ve heard about his personality and him off the court makes him seem like a guy that Weaver covets. They can always play Cade at the 3. I don’t think it will be that big of an issue.
Yeah, you take whomever you think is the BPA at 2 and sort out the rest later. Both Cade and Jaden seem very happy to be Pistons, so i don’t think there would be chemistry issues.

Now, if there’s a scenario where Weaver has Scoot and Miller near even, and a team like Orlando gets the 3rd pick, then we might be able to trade down a spot and pick up some extra assets. Miller wouldn’t make much sense for the Magic, with all the young frontcourt talent they already have.
Neither would the Thompsons. That would be ideal. Magic would be looking real nice if they had Scoot. Would be nice for the pistons to take advantage of the situation
How often do teams trade back a pick in the NBA? It feels rare.
Trae and Luka. Fultz and Tatum are some recent trades at the top of the draft
I hadn’t thought of that trade back idea with Orlando - actually makes a lot of sense. They need Scoot and the Pistons could use a wing. Not sure how many assets you could get for swapping one spot - but maybe there are other teams willing to jump to #2 that would offer more and the Pistons could leverage that with the Magic. I like Scoot and I agree with taking BPA…but the Scoot/Ivey/Cade combination is certainly clunky on the court.
