Detroit Pistons & NBA Talk (Part 2)

It’ll be interesting to see if Langdon can land Duncan. He’ll be a Beasley replacement.

They still have the mid level too right? Levert for NAW and another rotation piece is even more good business.

The Pistons could’ve easily matched the Hawks on NAW right?

Yeah some rumors the hawks are interested in Kennard. Dunno how much of the MLE that would involve

yeah I don’t know why they weren’t more aggressive with NAW

I think they were aggressive with him and he just wanted to go to Atlanta more.

I don’t think this makes a lot of sense. Could’ve easily offered him a starting role on a team that’s obviously farther along than the Hawks. In the very least they should have made the Hawks go up considerably higher than this.

The Hawks are making sense with their offseason moves?

1 year deal is weird right? Wouldn’t you want to go longer to get his Bird Rights? I get that he’s not crazy in demand but any team that wants to give him the MLE can give him a raise?

No I think that’s a feature not a bug. They dont want to have much of a long term commitment on him

Ivey was playing great before his injury last year and they need to see what he can do to decide on an extension or not. Promising a starting role to NAW pushes Ivey to the bench and they don’t really get to evaluate him. I think Detroit wants to go into this year seeing what they get with Cade-Ivey-Ausar-Tobias-Duren as the starters since they never played together last year.

NAW, Daniels, Johnson, Rissacher is such a fun group Of wings to have next to Trae. I can’t believe we are acting competently

Ivey-NAW-Cade-Tobias is totally doable. And no matter what you need good players more than you need to worry about hurt feelings.

Seems like it’s intentionally keeping room open next year. Are they in line to be under the cap or something?

This is pretty cool imo

I was actually discussing the Hawks earlier even before these moves as a sleeper in the East to go deep.

Bufkin could even still be useful.

The East is going to be fun

He’s not starting over Ivey. Best the Pistons can do is offer is first G off the bench.

not anymore after they acquired NAW and Kennard
