They already did once. He was on the Blazers for 4 days in 2023.
The Celtics are still $15 mil over the 2nd apron. Expecting another move to get under it. It’ll be interesting to see how they’ll do it, but expecting a similar trade to get additional assets.

Not surprising. Unless there’s someone available to be had that doesn’t break up a lot of young core, I don’t anticipate Langdon to make a big move. Cade/Jaden/Ausar/Tobias/Duren has not started a game together. Not enough data to go off from.

I haven’t looked up the contract situations for the players involved but my initial thought it that that’s a trade that doesn’t move the needle for either team. It’s just rearranging furniture.
McCollum and Olynyk’s deal is expiring, Poole’s has an extra year so this gets them max contract space for the 2026 off-season, which I keep reading is desirable (I have no idea)
Gets them $45 mil of extra cap space they’d have otherwise not had in 2026
I think Poole helps New Orleans win more than CJ at this point which guessing the quality of front office minds involved is probably the appeal, but like…Indont know that Poole, Herb, Dejountae Murray, Trey Murphy and 20 games of Zion is winning MUCH in the west

My current least favorite player (Niang) on one of my least favorite teams. That works.
