Wiseman “defense” as I recall

Wiseman is still playing summer league, eh?

He seemed really happy to be there and with this team in the post game interviews.

Wasn’t it a whole thing that the Thompsons practiced the Simpson hook?

He’s not a terribly intelligent player and i think it’s fairly obvious he will never live up to his billing but it looks like hs’s making enough improvements to be a serviceable backup.

Wiseman and Bagley seem like the exact opposite of Ausar when it comes to poor shooting athletic bets.

Kind of reminded of what I think makes a lot of Harbaugh’s recruiting strategy work: they very often insist that you’re a football player before you’re an athlete.

I really don’t know what method of defense tells you to never leave the exact center of the lane as a guy drives and then jump vertically, directly in front of the basket, as the ball handler shoots a layup from the side

I’m not aware of a drop coverage that calls for you to be six feet below the FT line. He’s played enough basketball people have said this to him

Just seems like low effort play from a guy with limited lateral athleticism to begin with

Wiseman actually had a good game all around, plus he’s an inconsequential player so w/e.

I want to talk about how Ivey looked absolutely terrible out there. The worst version of a ball hog of a guard. I hope he gets whatever it is out of his system because that was absolutely brutal to watch.

Had a solid assist rate for a rookie, so I don’t think it’s a long term concern.

Was already pretty optimistic Castleton could be a rotation guy in the NBA and catching some of a Summer League game rn just bolstering that feeling. Just a smart player w probaaably enough size/athleticism to make it work? He’s got the height/standing reach to stick as a 5. Maybe he just won’t be able to make enough shots?

Seems like he could do some percentage of a Kessler right

Not a full Kessler, but a half Kessler?

Hmm. I think I get where you’re coming from but Castleton is just a lot older and was never that dominant. Think he’s probably going to take a year before he’s genuinely useful in the league. But I’m still pretty hopeful.

FFS Pistons are starting Wiseman and Duren next to each other??

Because Livers had to leave for personal reasons.

Just start a guard!

Ausar comes out, Ivey makes a nice pass to the weak corner out of a ball screen and a pull up 3.

Ausar touched the ball like 3 times w Ivey out there.

Think @buckets12 maybe onto something.

Ausar stroke looking rushed n rough

Whitmore playing with a chip

They started two.

Honestly just get Buddy Boeheim out there to give them something resembling NBA spacing

Not sure what the point of getting off the bus is to play major minutes of Thompson and two centers together
