Speaking of tickets, I hear all participating schools were give an allotment of only 350 tickets. Yet watching most games on TV, it looks like the arenas are only 2/3 full.

I would guess a lot of that is because fans of certain teams either show up late to watch their team or leave early when their team is done.

That would only account for 1,500 empty seats at most.

I went to Albany so i follow the American east a bit. It’s better than people realize. The winner always seems to draw a 14-16 seed but it’s usually better than that. Albany would have been a very tough 15 or 16 for someone. They actually have played high major conference opponents tight most times over the last few years. I believe Albany lost only by 4 to Louisville on the road this year.

Vermont was actually a dangerous team had tgry won the conference like they should have. They were certainly the best team in the conference this year. Had they won though they would have been a 12-14 though. Had they drawn say Clemson or auburn they would have pulled the upset imo. Anthony Lamb is a sophomore from Rochester. Completely underrated and just fell through the cracks in high school. He reminds me of a less athletic but more skilled Isaiah livers. Same build. Look a like too. Tweener 4 who’s got skills like a 3.

Honestly I really wanted to take Buffalo but Arizona was the one 4 along with the zags I thought was a bad draw. I knew they had an upset in them and were more of a 12 or 11 seed but zona was a tough out. Honestly I think they will possibly make a huge run. I have Kentucky in my final 4 in most brackets so I’m hoping not but I honestly think they might be better than Kentucky. It’s a bad draw for the cats. Their guards like zona aren’t good enough/ skilled enough to handle the pressure and get the ball inside to the bigs to use their advantage. Kentuckys just so raw and unskilled idk if they can win.

Honestly if Buffalo plays well again the bracket is shaping up for then perfectly. We could have a double digit final 4 Cinderella like George mason. If they beat Kentucky they’d have Kansas st in all likelihood. That’s a team I think Buffalo can beat. Then it’s cincy and Tennessee at the bottom and imo neither are that great. I know cincy is killing people but something about them I just don’t buy. Pretty much every year their overrated. I actually had Nevada or Texas upsetting them In round 2 in every pool I’m in. Then Buffalo has their best recruiting class ever coming in! This team might be building a program that’s here to stay.

Honestly people are sleeping on Purdue. For once I think their ready for a run then this happens. I’m in a pool with 180 sheets at ten a piece ( I actually should have invited a bunch of you and tried to get a huge number of people) and only 1 person picked utdue. I took Michigan in 1 to win it all ( you can fill out as many as you want) and to my surprise there were 6 other Michigan winning it all brackets. I thought I’d be good to go if they won it all as I’d be the only one to have it. Each round is worth 32, so it’s impossible to win unless you get the winner unless no one has the winner.

Only one Purdue though. Had I known that I would have taken them in 1 for sure. Before this haas injury I thought they had a real good shot. Yo me their 1 of the 7 or 8 who could win it all. Without haas their done though. I’m wondering if they can beat butler without him.

I’m so glad many people had Virginia. I knew they were overrated. I had creighton beating then in 2 brackets and then zona or Kentucky beating them seeet 16 I’m every other. Their style of play lends itself to upset. Plus how could you back then in such a tough draw without hunter. Guy was a huge piece in what they do. Best athlete forcsure and best prospect.

Who does everyone have? I have duke in 3, state in 3, Michigan in 1 , Kansas in 1. Kansas has the easiest run to the elite 8 , it’s hard to resist taking a team like that. Clemson and auburn are joke 4 and 5s . Seton hall was my only worry but with azuibuke back and Newman starting to shoot like/ play like the guy that made him a top ten prospect in his class it’s hard to not like them. Now de Sousa is looking comfy and he suddenly gives them nice front court depth/ bench help. Duke/ m st are the hardest 2/3 draws but they got a gift into the elite eight.

Also I’m putting Michigan state on upset watch versus cuse. I have state deep in a lot of brackets but as we all know they haven’t played to their potential and prone to duds. Izzo is overrated. Cuse and boheim are always dangerous and tough to prepare for in any tourney. That 2-3 when defended well with the right personnel is tough. For my pockets sake I’d like state but I wouldn’t be shocked if cuse wins. They have some talent as bad as they’ve been. I expect it to go to the wire at least

Yeah, people keep going on about how MSU “hasn’t played to its potential” - at some point you just are what you are. They’ve been limping by most of the season. They look impressive for like 10-15 minutes out of 40 and the rest of the game they’re just hanging on. Are they suddenly going to flip a switch and beat a team like Duke (if they even get there)?

Buffalo in danger of getting blown out. Kentucky living at the rim and already in the bonus. Buffalo taking and missing a lot of quick jumpers. Be nice to see a close game today.

Too bad they’re going to scare opposing players, and even some opposing coaches, on their name

Buffalo putting up a good fight vs Kentucky.

Man, Diallo can sky!

I continue to be mystified how people saw them getting by Duke. At this stage, though, I have to admit–the Izzo and MSU love not only confounds me, it really pisses me off.

Yea right after I posted my comment buffalo caught fire from three. Hard to imagine them staying in this if they don’t stop fouling and allowing Kentucky dunks, even if they make some threes

Kevin Knox with three fouls. Interesting that calapari left him in there with an eight point lead.

It’s tough playing against 5 unicorns.

How did Arizona only score 68 against this buffalo team? Their defense is less intimidating than what teams face in pregame layup lines.

I absolutely love this Loyola team

I’ve disliked Tennessee ever since they threw a fit over Woodson winning the Heisman (and then quit in the bowl to help Nebraska get a share). It may be a different sport but I’m still enjoying this.
