Maryland fans on reddit are adamant that they deserve to be #1. Why, I’m not sure. But they feel strongly

We will be fifth I think. Maybe 6th if poll inertia is on OSU’s side.

B1G has 4 of the top 11.

Providence just went 0-3 in their non-conference tournament, losing to powerhouse programs Pennsylvania, Long Beach State, and College of Charleston.

Turns out I was mistaken in that the Penn loss was actually a home game for Providence. They ended up 1-2 at the Wooden Legacy after winning the seventh place game against perennial power Pepperdine, 80-77.

Another media member that actually has an AP vote with Michigan at #1

Ugh… Not that it matters much, but really don’t want to be #1 and carry that expectation, especially when we could easily go 1-3 in our next 4 games.

I do agree with this statement, seldom are 1&D players winners in college hoops.

In a year where there really is no high-end talent in the sport, in a season where the best players are the three- and four-year stars as opposed to the one-and-done talents, Michigan has as much of the former as anyone. Zavier Simpson and Jon Teske are senior anchors that excel on both ends of the floor while Juwan Howard, who has thrived running ball-screens with this group, has myriad shooters to surround them with. The run in Atlantis – with wins over North Carolina, Gonzaga and Iowa State – was no fluke. Michigan has the

We’ve had the 1&D argument here a few times by my recollection

I like this group of kids. They play with a chip and earned everything through development and hard work. I will take every “one and done” player we can sign but I think you need leadership on the floor in the tournament. Always the exception for the great kids (top 5) but their focus is avoiding injury and protecting their draft position… which I get BTW.

That’s Georgetown’s second and fifth leading scorers. Gonna be a long season in DC.

Ouch. As an old New Jersey kid and Knicks fan who also admired John Thompson’s teams, I would like to see Patrick succeed.

Quite the coincidence the day this goes down it’s reported Terrance Williams is still talking to the um staff.

Did Terrance Williams not sign?

No, he never did.
