We all said that Big Ten games in December were a TV thing because of the BTT in MSG and the expanded schedule and … they are still around.
Maybe they move them but I wouldn’t say it is a guarantee.

I’m gonna bet that if they think it made the network money then they’re gonna stick around.
Just a quick question, but in general, should we root for teams that we beat to do well? Like say we beat Creighton for example, should we root for them to win their games, so as to help our strength of schedule, BPI, Kenpom score, etc, or do most analytic tools only factor in how teams had done prior to us playing them?
Does that make any sense?
As a rule of thumb, that’s what I usually do. Unless it’s OSU, Duke, or MSU. Sometimes, you just gotta hate.
Yes, you want the teams that Michigan beats in the non-conference to do well as it will boost strength of schedule and in turn incrementally affect Michigan’s NET ranking as well as its Q1/Q2 wins.
Yes. Doesn’t mean you have to like them. Doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to keep your own counsel. For example, when MSU loses, I gloat. If they win it helps to be able to note that it will boost our strength of schedule.
WojBomb college edition
The state of college sports makes me sad. I suppose it has always been like this. I miss being young and naive.
Penny Hardaway is deemed a booster as a head coach. Suspension coming for Penny?
Supposedly the thing that made him a “booster” happened in 2008.
I bet we’ll find out that Juwan bought Burnett’s dad a cup of coffee in 2005
EDIT: Nevermind, incorrect info. It was in 2018, not 2008.
Corrected to 2018 actually but either way he’s temporarily allowed to play
Just your typical “not for profit organization .edu” manipulating billions of revenue dollars from amateur athletes who are not generating income in trade for a degree that they can’t use…
That sounded harsh…sorry!
I tuned in to watch this Memphis game after the Wiseman news. This might be my favorite team in the country to watch. I’d argue they have more talent than Kentucky/Duke/Kansas this year. And former Michigan target Lester Quinones looks great
I’m very confused by the court order thing. Is Wiseman suing the NCAA?
Forgot that name. He’d fit into Michigan’s 3 spot real nicely right now
FYI many wondered where Purdue was going to get scoring. Per previous comment they are looking for transfer Proctor to make some serious contributions.
First game 26 points.
We shall see how he does as the level of competition picks up.
Wiseman filed a lawsuit Friday against both the NCAA and the University of Memphis in order to restore his eligibility.
According to the lawsuit, between Jan. 25 and May 17, the NCAA and the University of Memphis conducted a joint review of Wiseman’s eligibility and he received NCAA certification “on or about May 29.”
I don’t get the lawsuit here. Either you sue in such a way that the NCAA ceases to exist as any sort of true governing body and all NCAA bylaws are defunct… or you have no case. There is no “law” that the NCAA is violating that isn’t inherent to the fact to they are a cartel. It’s like when Tom Brady sued the NFL to appeal his suspension.
The NCAA’s statement cracked me up too. Basically “yeah Memphis is screwed”
Memphis just really wants to vacate wins and get a post-season ban.
