Horrible news. I was literally just listening to this podcast about basketball players that had untimely deaths.
Yes, just saw Dylan’s post. So, so sad and tragic!!!
I feel terrible for Boston having to witness that.
RIP Terrence.
Yeah, thank God BJ is alive, but he’s going to have to deal with a lot emotionally after this. Gut wrenching.
RIP TC. I am praying for the family also.
What a tragedy. We never really got to witness Clarke play college basketball and his family will never get that chance ever again.
Terrance was one of my favorite non-UM recruits…
I’m really struggling to process the news; this is just horrible. I hope he felt nothing.
Four outgoing seniors (three of them starters) back for Loyola. They lose only Krutwig, which is huge obviously but also add Chris Knight who was a 2x all-conference guy at Dartmouth. Should be a force again.
Chris Knight seems like an interesting add. He was a high usage, low efficiency undersized 5 for Dartmouth who was their biggest facilitator by assist rate. Krutwig replacement?
Knight plus the four returning seniors is huge for Drew Valentine’s first year.
Drew Valentine gunning for Izzo’s job the way he was able to convince those guys to come back.
I don’t think Drew Valentine will replace Tom Izzo. I think Drew will replace Tom’s hand picked successor who flops. My vision.
Crazy scenario, but not at all far fetched. I think there are some cracks in the MSU foundation that will become more pronounced by the time Izzo steps aside. And at that point, you are counting on Stephens or possibly Fife to keep that afloat? And Valentine is young enough that he can take 10 years for this to play out and still be more than viable.
I’m all for Izzo being replaced by a lifetime assistant who other schools did not consider for an HC job.
Hmmmm…Stephens?
Wasn’t Izzo a life time assistant who took over for Heathcote? Not sure if he was wanted by other schools.
If Michigan hadn’t self-immolated in the early aughts, I wonder if MSU would have been just another above average Big Ten program.
