Remember when Ed Cooley claimed to have turned down Michigan
The announcers (Brando and Raff) didn’t even acknowledge it. I thought he fouled for sure on purpose, but after the announcers didn’t say anything I just thought I saw it wrong. After the game, some CBB writers thought it was intentional and an error, so at least I knew I wasn’t crazy
If Xavier, Providence, or Stanford are even in the conversation at this point, the Selection Committee needs to be replaced by people who watch college basketball games.
The last teams in and first teams out, at least from the mocks I’ve been seeing in recent days, should be reversed based on the eye test alone.
This has gotta be the weakest year ever in the Big Least. With Gillespie done and McDermott having alienated his players, I don’t think the Tournament will be pretty for the conference. Unless Danny Hurley can pull off a Kevin Ollie, which is less than likely.
If the Mountain West were named the Pac12, it would get 4 teams in easily.
The Ed Cooley following around here is wild lol
This especially true as my Butler Bulldogs have been absolute bricklayers all season. They keep getting these 15-20 point deficits in the first half because they’ll go ten minutes without a make and sometimes three to four minutes without even getting a shot up.
100%. I’d love to see all 3 of the MWC bubble teams get in. And drake as well
UNC seems headed towards that 8/9 range. Put them down as a team I’d rather not see in Michigan’s region…
Their 4 headed (3 headed for their last game ) monster down low is quite impressive. Kessler still is raw but he can really change the game on the defensive end. Agreed UNC as an 8/9 probably wouldn’t be a good matchup for Michigan.
I’d put a dollar on the committee putting them in Gonzaga’s bracket.
Wow. The first major covid implications of the postseason
The funny thing is Duke was being extra careful they said by driving back to Durham after every game. Of course where they were staying the Duke football team also had an outbreak.
This is my biggest concern for Michigan and the tournament…every team just basically has to hope to not get unlucky with these tests
Purdue just kept on trucking along when Stefanovic tested positive. Kansas has two guys in quarantine right now. So I’m not sure how one positive test is shutting Duke down?
Likely because of the close quarters and the fact that they’re playing a game the next day. The Kansas guys didn’t test positive.
Every league has different protocols. The fact that Duke was bussing back and forth seems problematic. Hard to know the specifics in any situation .
Wow, I really thought Duke was gonna win that tourney too. Why would they think going back to the same hotel the football team just had a shutdown in was a great idea?
