Those people even talk on forums 10x more intelligently than I could ever dream of.
Well, I don’t know about that. I saw TWO instances in which someone used a comma but better judgement might have resulted in using a period instead.
I concur. Moreover, the MVP argument was quite clearly fallible. I unequivocally assure you that MVPs are not awarded with any thought of increasing the world’s net happiness!
Ivy League message board…not surprised the grammar is outstanding!
I can’t remember who said this but someone mentioned that Mike Smith had to convince Juwan that he can throttle down usage and be a facilitator for the team because Mike was a high usage, high volume scorer at Columbia. Juwan was understandably hesitant to take him on because that type of player really don’t change their stripe even with a new team, but Mike did it. It tells me that Mike’s desire to win and get into the NCAA is greater than his individual stats.
We’re starting to see Mike finding the right balance of being aggressive and a distributor. If he can continue to take care of the ball, we might get to see the best version of Mike Smith come NCAA tourney time.
Juwan probably just didn’t want a grammar nazi on the team.
Mike is a very smart player, and should I say all starting 5 this year are very smart players, led by a head coach who was once a very smart player.
It’s funny…the language and structure kinda struck me as “old timey”. Perhaps just a lack of reps talking about these topics in general compared to major conferences
We’re really lucky to have the perfect combination of Beilein’s players and Juwan’s players into an elite team. Juwan has pushed the right buttons so far and it’s no accident that Michigan is in the top tier with Gonzaga and Baylor this season
Dayton just beat St. Bonaventure which is a big blow to the A10 getting two teams in, and a big help to other bubble teams. Dayton is 89th in the NET and the game was at home for the Bonnies, so that’s a bad Q3 loss. They were the 2nd to last 10 seed on BracketMatrix to start the day and this loss either knocks them out of the field entirely or puts them right on the edge.
The Bonnies and VCU are the only two A10 teams projected in the field now, so best case for bid stealing is that they meet in the finals with the weaker resume winning. Or one of them makes the finals, and the other loses in the semi’s to a strong team like SLU or Richmond. Then hope that third strong team wins the auto-bid and the other two both sneak in.
through 8 minutes, North Carolina has 20 rebounds against Syracuse
UNC is gonna be playing volleyball tonight. #1 Offensive rebounding team in the country, but one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the country. Is facing Syracuse that forces teams to shoot 3s over their zone, but is one of the worst defensive rebounding teams in the country. Hilarious matchup.
what’s more watchable, that or Rutgers @ Nebraska?
UNC playing a dangerous bubble game, alternating good wins and terrible losses. Down 10 to Syracuse. They have 18 offensive rebounds but have 14 turnovers and are shooting 33%
It’s not the game where Day’ron Sharpe and Walker Kessler share the floor and cause there to be zero spacing offensively
Buddy Boeheim is gonna have 30 FGA tonight
Syracuse managed to goaltend a 3 pointer which is pretty impressive if you think about it
Said goaltend accounts for 50% of their 3 point makes
Watching UNC play defense is tough on the eyes. They try to jump every pass and seemingly are incapable of grabbing a defensive board
Anybody care to comment on the basketball skills of Joe Girard III. Is he in over his head, or can he make the Eli Brooks jump as an upperclassman? I’ve never seen him play at Syracuse and curious of his development
