I don’t know if anyone else is watching West Virginia-Richmond, but WVU’s press is really something else. Richmond looks absolutely clueless against it.
Also, why the heck is Richmond ranked? They’re 56 on Kenpom and 50 on Torvik with their only win being against a brutally bad Kentucky team.
That press is extremely impressive, but they also haven’t missed a shot since about 8 min left in the game. Many of them 3s. Scary team if they get going.
I think you answered your own question at the end of your statement hah
Some bad mid range shots have gone in for them too. It’s just been a while since I remember watching a press obliterate an offense like WVU’s was for the last 10 minutes or so of that half.
#BuildTheBrand had 11 on 3/9 shooting. Did chip in 4 boards, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Despite my jesting I’ve been fairly impressed with his play this far.
Christopher would be a massive boost for our roster this year. Clearly lack an alpha shot creator. Franz, Brooks and Livers play much better off of a ball dominant guard and he’d have been perfect alongside them. Wish it would’ve happened still honestly.
The teams best ball handler is Zeb. But he is not quite ready for prime time who I think can get anywhere on the floor on the bounce but just not ready to know what to do when he gets there. Although as I have stated before the team is going to need him down the road for ball handling and team foul trouble. It is to bad there was not a real preseason to get more run for guys like him.
It felt like in the first games, all Zeb had to do was twitch and he had his man beat. But whereas Burke, or Walten or Simpson would just take it to the hoop when they had their men beat like that, Zeb seemed really tentative.
