Yeah but Nova up by 9 at the half.

He kind of got lost in the shuffle after that start. Only 1 shot in the final 11 minutes of the half.

3-point play for JC to start the 2nd.

Maybe the Pistons will draft JC next year and he’ll finally come to Michigan.

But, before that it would be nice if Michigan knocked ASU out in the round of 32 in the NCAA’s.

ASU is averaging an assist every 10 minutes.

They have a fair amount of talent but not a lot of cohesiveness in the early going.

Josh Christopher discovered the bank is open late in Connecticut!

Pretty sure he called bank too. Crazy

Final stat line against #3 Villanova:
28 points, 11-17 FG, 3-5 3-PT, 3-3 FT, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 TO’s and a loss.

I was thinking about that until Bilas dropped a Stanley Johnson comp on him. Ugh.

He probably can’t bench as much as Stanley. However, he can jump about 10 inches higher and his shooting form looks better.

Stanley Johnson had exactly zero of the shot creation abilities Josh has. Weird comp.

Side note JC’s garbage time three covered an ASU +9.5 bet for me so I am officially a fan again.

JC’s first 2 games have been pretty darn impressive.

That’s still 18% of total games being cancelled or moved. Sure the majority are still getting played but the same thing happened with football a small amount of postponements and then a big wave coming now.

Was just about to say the shot creation, among a few other items, kills that comparison

Drew Timme would look real nice playing for Juwan.

I agree that it’s a weird comp. I remember Stanley as a freshman who was built like a junior or senior. He had outstanding north-south ability. I think he’s a bit taller than Christopher. Christopher seems to have more shiftiness to his game than Stanley had. Comps are difficult, and there really aren’t many good ones.

I couldn’t believe how slow/atrocious Corey Kispert’s footwork was but it didn’t seem to matter or affect him at all. He wasn’t even parked on the 3pt line, 5/5 on 2s! Maybe he’s like Kyle Anderson back in his UCLA days

Stanley is listed at 6’7". Even if you look at them as when they came out of high school, where Stanley was ranked higher (#3 overall) and was dominant, I don’t think it’s that good of a comp. The AA advantage Christopher had/has is clear.

I think maybe it was a lazy comp. “Both guys are great, both are from LA”, boom, comp.

BTW- I still feel like Stanley could play TE in the NFL. :grinning:
