Man it would have been nice to have Ibi on last year’s team. Never thought I’d say that.

Interesting…

This is exactly the kind of MTE I’m hoping Michigan does. Decent Midwest team plus a couple directional schools.

I’m expecting all Mid-major level teams in Michigan’s, but I could be wrong.

Yeah ultimately I’m fine with that if that’s how it works out, but would be cool to sneak a Butler or Depaul or Xavier or something in there out of the Big East

“He made 16 NCAA tournament appearances and was part of Butler’s Sweet 16 run in 2003, as well as Purdue’s most recent Final Four run in 1980 and Michigan’s championship game appearance in 2013.”

I did not realize it had been that long since Purdue made a Final Four run.

It would have been 2019 if not for Mamadi Diakite…

…and Kihei Clark.

Only thing Gene Keady didn’t accomplish there during his great career.

Still seems wild that we’re just over 2 weeks from the start of the season and have no idea what the schedule is.

Did anyone else notice the C-USA schedule matrix for this season?

  • 18 game conference schedule
  • Each team plays 2gms vs 9 of the 13 other teams in the conference (DNP the other 4)
  • schools will play 2 games per visit at 4 select C-USA schools and host 4 select teams for a 2-game series, while playing a rival opponent one time each home and away.
  • last week of the regular season is left open for COVID make-up games before the C-USA Tournament

The objective is to reduce travel and COVID testing needs.

Yeah, these sort of paired weekends are pretty common among mid-major leagues that have put out their schedules.

Beilein at a juco heavy program would be weird, always envisioned and thought he would like to coach at another high end academic school.
