I don’t think that’s true for Maryland. I think the committee only protects against teams facing a third time. Michigan only played them once and could be put in their pod. Last year MSU played Minnesota second round and would have played Maryland Sweet 16 if Maryland didn’t blow the game vs LSU
That’s how it was through the 2016 season so this isn’t a huge takeoff from previous Ivy practices, but still a big decision nonetheless. Gotta imagine the other three schools (Harvard, Princeton, Penn) that would’ve participated in the conference tournament are not real happy.
I’m done with replay. They need to get it out of the game. I watched the BYU/St. Mary’s game, and the commentators were spot on. “That was a hockey check.” “How do you look at that and not see excessive contact?” They’re going to get the calls wrong anyway, so why delay games and break up the flow?
for now. they are behind the curve. too much money on the brain.
1 guy in a bus in wuhan infected 9 people, including 1 4.5m away, and another who got on the bus 30 minutes after he disembarked.
Yeah, “for now” is probably the key here right now… Doesn’t take long to compare the graphs between Italy, South Korea, USA and predict the kind of growth we are in for over the next week.
Folks should be wearing N95 masks in public places. The CDC officially “does not recommend” wearing masks, but experts say that advice is obsolete. The main reason for them saying that is that stock is low and we would be depriving health care first-responders of the masks. But the bottom line is that they are effective.
