So Ed Cooley might not be getting a warm reception today. Doors open 2 hours early. Nothing like getting your drink on at 930am. They probably started at midnight.
I have a buddy who lives in Providence and is a big PC fan. He’s at the game and is looking forward to the reception for Cooley. I’m sure it was discussed here at the time, but he told me about the terms of Cooley’s departure (basically, Ed was kind of a jerk about it). Anyway, his takeaway is that it’d be a bit of a scene today because people in RI have nothing else to do.
Eh, they were winning. Furphy probably got there late, doesn’t make a ton of sense to switch things up. The moment they lost to UCF they switched things up, right?
Problem is more than Elmarko and Timberlake just haven’t got there than their roles I’d say.
Never is, right? Wonder when the last time Kansas finished in the bottom half of the Big 12 in points allowed per possession in league games. Can’t be something that happens often IMO.
They’ve got 4 starters they lean on heavily, 3 of them are at 60+% TS. They clearly don’t have a 5th that really works. Give them a different 5 and I don’t see how that makes Elmarko that guy.
Not sure what Elmarko has to do with it? He’s barely playing, right?
Kansas is fine. Dickinson is fine. That’s all fine. It’s kind of like MSU… they are still a better team than most of the Big Ten.
Kansas is also definitely not the preseason No. 1 team that they were billed as, and Dickinson is not a POTY rival for Edey, and Kansas is probably going to be a 3 or 4 seed.
Like you say, you can kind of put anyone on Kansas and they will be reasonable good. I just think it is falling pretty short of the hype right now. And Hunter was the reason for that hype.
