Sears is a monster. Love watching him.
Also mini wut u doing for Holloway? They don’t make sense together in the same lineup as far as I can tell and Sears plays a ton. I assume they’ll have to but that doesn’t seem optimal for anybody.

Oops. Leaving an equal-opportunity shared PG role to go to lesser opportunity backup role. Even if he plays with Sears, he will definitely have the ball in his hands less than he hoped and probably even less than last season.

Pretty terrible fit with sears back honestly a career ender type transfer where you end up on some terrible big east team the following year

I guess they could do some 3 guard stuff. And basically pray that Omoruyi is enough to keep the defense together
But yeah even still unlikely he plays as much as last year
But at least we know he wasn’t going bag hunting

Like we feel Michigan is quite talented but still not even a lock tournament team probably

It might be that the high end talent is pretty good but the median HM? Or maybe just median D1 player? is worse bc the COVID years are way more limited.
With all the transfers it’s clear that HM basketball is indeed going to stay old like folks expected.
Holloway and Donaldson left in large part because they were recruited over as much as anything right?
Auburn quickly went out and got Pegues and had Pettiford coming in.
Definitely a lot of mouths to feed at Bama with Philon, Youngblood, Mallette, Wrightsell etc. though.

I don’t think the high end is what it has been years in the past but I think the floor is way higher.

Do you feel like what it means to a tournament team or not changes year over year based on talent? I’ve rarely thought of it that year, certainly not country-wide, but maybe I guess?
I think Michigan being a lock tournament team or not hinges a lot more on just how much variability there is in whatever the heck Michigan is.
Sure, but there are 100 other schools he could have gone to besides Auburn and Alabama where he would have had a much bigger role and opportunity than he will get next year at Alabama. I’m sure he didn’t anticipate Sears coming back. Guessing he may have done things differently if he knew. He seems like the kind of player that wants the ball and wants to get shots up.

Maybe, but I just assume when guys commit that quickly and don’t really take visits that the number was met and they are good with it.
