NIT Teddy?

I can’t believe that about 25 years ago Teddy Valentine threatened to eject me and the entire basketball band for yelling at him during a particularly bad performance and here we are still talking about how his antics are a problem a quarter century later.

Side note: Are we in on Tyger Campbell as a top five PG in the country yet? We should be in on that. People strongly disagreed with me earlier in the year. He is the guy I’d take to run my team.

I am extremely high on Dug dominating college basketball as an upperclassman. He is going to be good.

Had not realized Abmas and ORU were doing so well this year. 4 losses all on the road to top 50 teams. Cool that Abmas stuck around. I imagine he’s off to the pros after this but man I can see someone wanting to back up a dump truck of cash for him to come

They are just destroying the Summit League. Beating teams by over 30 points per 100 possessions. Way better than the team that beat OSU. They even defend a bit and have some size inside with Vanover.

Also, I am in love with the fact that their two best players have a 17"(!) difference in size.

So he violated Covid protocol two years ago, and is still being punished for it? Seems excessive. But then, these guys also wanted to suspend McGary for an entire season…

He’s also been fired/banned by the Big Ten since 2018. He only does A10/ACC games now which feels telling to me.

Yeah I get the feeling that people aren’t going out of their way to do TV Ted any favors. Like the article mentioned, he can be a really good ref but doesn’t do himself any favors with his antics.

I don’t think Campbell is that much better than Kerr Kriisa but that might be me.

I think it’s hard to compare, say, Mike Miles, Kendric Davis, Markquis Nowell and Souley Boum to Tyger Campbell and Kerr Kriisa, given their roles are pretty different. The first group are their team’s primary or secondary scorer (and if they’re secondary, they score a ton anyway) while Campbell and Kriisa are more ā€œtrue point guardsā€.
