Beating Wisconsin is the kind of win that makes the media think you’re awesome. Beyond that Wisconsin is not that good, they didn’t even have Wahl

Although I agree that’s way too high for us I’m on a few message boards with college hoops threads and it seems like most people I interact with think we are much better than we do.
Maybe we’re being too hard on them?
After our unc loss a few neutral fans told me we were a 6-7 seed caliber roster! I was like uhhh…
The bull case is we have two good wins and we’re up in the second half on three teams which are top 25 rosters.
The bear case is we blew everyone of them, lost to central Michigan and played every team as if they were a top 25 roster.
The part that burns me is I could see us throwing up a dud and losing to Wisconsin in a game much like Saturdays.
Some scuttlebutt that Texas and Calipari could be a fit…

Hard to imagine Cal’s out at Kentucky, but there were rumors of that before Beard was out, IIRC.

Kentucky can’t be serious about the coach at Iona, can it? Who else would they have in mind? Oats isn’t a bad call, or even Musselman I suppose. Kelvin Sampson is too old.
