All season I’ve hesitating to say Sensabaugh was better than Branham, but this is making me feel more comfortable

Wahl is a pretty good defender

He also seems like a third best guy being asked to play like a best guy

But it’s not good when you’re out Chase-Audige-ing Chase Audige

I’m surprised Cam Spencer doesn’t make the list - it seems impossible his usage is so low

St. John’s is losing at home to Marquette, they’ll fall to 1-3 in the Big East with a loss. They went 10-1 in the non-conference but with no relevant wins. If they miss the tournament, that would be four years with no appearances for Mike Anderson.

Steve Lavin was fired after making it twice in five years. Chris Mullin “resigned” after making it once in four.

Thought they would be good this year.

A person who does not have enough letters in his first and last name combined to be spoken of in the UMHoops Forum without adding extra characters.

Pitt is about to beat Virginia. Huge comeback.

Pitt will be a quality win?

It wasn’t at the time because they were absolutely terrible, but maybe the computer will call it one by season’s end.

just to get this on the record for the 300th time, Pitt over UVA last night really reminds me what an enormous debt of gratitude Tony Bennett owes to Mamadi Diakite for his OT-forcing buzzer beater against Purdue in the 2019 E8. Without that game, and thus the title, Bennett would have a completely different reputation. Instead of following the only 16-1 upset ever with a championship – objectively a nice story – he would just be the guy with the biggest upset in American sports history to his name. But here we are instead and he will get every benefit of the doubt forever. Well not from this Nicholas Coston. I say he stinks

Or

He is an example of the fickle nature of NCAA success and perhaps an object lesson in using it as a barometer of quality coaching

Is he the biggest choker in NCAA history?
Is he the coach who won a title with insane clutch performances (2 overtime wins, and 1 and 4 points win in regulation)?

The answer obviously is both

Virginia and Purdue both had two awesome neutral court blowout wins against teams that everyone thought were top five in the country good but actually aren’t, got immediately ranked top 2-3 in the sport, then have covered one of their last nine games since, dodging bullets against bad teams along the way

Virginia losing at Pitt is the kind of thing you expect in league play. It’s why that was such a blown opportunity for Michigan. Top 75 teams are supposed to beat top 25 teams at home.

Michigan let one slip away there.

This is also a reason why Michigan’s schedule is a bit dicey in that there aren’t that many Q1 home games on the docket left, which is opposite of last year.

Yes, we don’t have much margin for error, do we? We might squeak in with 10-8 from here on out with a couple of Q1 wins, and probably needing a win in the BTT. It sets up such that tonight’s game is almost a must win at home, even as early in the B1G season as it is.

While there are obvious missed opportunities, Pitt being not a total trainwreck is only going to help Michigan.

Who knows, maybe Pitt and Maryland are really bad. But maybe they are NCAA tournament teams. The fact that Michigan ran them out of the gym gives me hope that they can still be a good team.
