College Basketball 2022-23 Discussion

Well

Bud is a branch of the Pop tree

The guys I listed never worked for Pop

Pop is a branch of the Larry Brown tree

Brown the Dean Smith tree

We can keep going to Henry Iba or Abraham and Isaac I guess

lol it works in that scene because it’s the favorite song of a serial killer

I have to say, I’m kinda underwhelmed by this roster. Malachi Smith needs to be much more involved than he was this past season.

The Budenholzer coaching tree is mostly the Pop coaching tree.

Bud was an assistant. Jenkins interned with the Spurs, then coached their G-League team. Snyder coached the Austin Toros, which I believe was the Spurs D-League team back in the day.

We have a new RosterCast #1!! Ladies and gentlemen, your Tennessee Volunteers!!

As currently comprised, they violate the rule of being top-20 in AdjO and AdjD, so don’t expect them to win the natty.

Snyder never actually worked on a staff with Pop, so I’m pretty hesitant to assign him that one

Interesting lineup: Davis-Ryan-Ingram-Withers-Bacot

Definitely like that lineup more than the one they had last year

Interesting. I guess the three spot killed then this year but Love is better than Ryan and Nance is better than Withers.

Will be fascinating to see how Ingram plays in a different system.

Prob gonna land cleavland also right?

Agreed the individual talent was better last year. I just think this lineup works better and has more defined roles (with still talented players). Plus Ingram adds a playmaker on the wing that they didn’t really have

Probably not actually. Especially now that they have Ingram. I would guess Mizzou is the leader in the clubhouse for Cleveland

It could have been Pete Nance :man_shrugging:t3:

We shall see on UNC. Definitely intriguing. Building around Bacot and Davis is a luxury

This just reminded me that Leaky Black was on the UNC team that got its booty kicked in A2 all the way back in November 2018.

Also, he had an astoundingly low usage last season (9.9%) despite playing 30 MPG.
