Bama fans may not be fair in their comments, but based on dialogue here in the forum over the past year, I can’t imagine it would be different with Michigan fans if a three star decommitted or transferred.

Ok. I saw mock drafts and both were way down in round 1. They’re still hopeful Young returns.
Proctor + Mitchell + 5 top 30 kids (but none in the top 5) is the team next year? Roach doesn’t excite me but I guess he’s at least good. Interesting team building approach tho. Do they have a real 5?

I’d be shocked if Lively came back. Why double down on a second year in a situation that absolutely demolished your draft value (not saying he doesn’t own part/a lot of that)

I think that’s pretty telling about the era we’re living in with college basketball. Ryan Young was a decent player for them. Having a really old veteran who is consistent all season and isn’t going to be as prone to wild swings of performance is gold right now compared to hot-shot high school stars that will take time and be more erratic.

I like all the coaches, but after the last year/two years it feels like some fresh ideas would have been nice. Maybe we just need a pg who has been here before.

Note on #1 Jalen Cook
Not listed in the transfer portal as a graduate transfer, Cook will be an interesting litmus test for the rules and regulations regarding the one-time free transfer rule. In 2021, Cook transferred from LSU to Tulane. Is he going to be allowed to play immediately? Or would he be expected to have to sit out for a year?
No Burnett. But it does have Joe Girard… Sam said he still is evluating some though, and will be updating regularly. So possible Burnett hasn’t even been looked at since he just entered
Obv early, but this list seems worse than last years. Sam compared Cook to Kendric Davis but he just seems like a worse overall player than Kendric across the board.

Yeah Jalen Cook is definitely a full step down from Davis. Davis would have been a projected All American or at least 1st-team all conference whereas Jalen Cook is probably a 2nd or 3rd team all conference guy at a high major.
I did look up when Davis entered the portal last year and it was April 11.
