Sometimes Sam Webb can be frustrating when talking basketball, but some of those guys out there make me appreciate Sam quite a bit.

I donât know that there even is a premise. I think heâs just hearing wild speculation from DC basketball circles and then throwing them out there with 0 actual consideration of the implications or meanings

Now recalling the logic in that Brandon Brown piece last week about Jameer Nelson Jr. âJuwan Howard has a point guard and doesnât need to find one in the portal, but heâs taken a point guard in the portal every other year so probably he will again this year tooâ. Or something like that.
Obviously, the connections are there with Nelson. His dad was Martelliâs most legendary player ever. Martelli has always spoken highly of Jameer Nelson Sr. as a person. Jr. was committed to play for Martelli before he was fired, etc.
Easy to connect those dots, just obviously a bit of a complicated fit as a ball dominant smaller guard.
My point was simply to make fun of the 
approach to coverage.

Oh still talking about the Maryland thing? Didnât realize that. The Maryland thing is just hilarious to publish rumors like that and then just say haha that would never happen right after.
