Crean may lack the social skills to be a yes man. Also think he would represent fresh ideas. He’s been gone from EL a long time. Izzo team play diff now anyways.

I dunno, Crean seems to be a darn good recruiter. Hasn’t he recruited the likes of DWade, Ant Edwards, Victor Oladipo?

Edwards is pretty much the only relevant one there at this point (given the length of time since the others were recruited), and let’s be honest, he almost certainly got a bag to stay home.
Crean is a better recruiter than his weirdo personality might lead you to believe, but not sure he’s going to be any sort of ace at this point of his career.

Did Crean recruit Edwards, or was he merely coaching at the largest school in Edwards’ home state?
Shouldn’t be listed on there because it isn’t a tournament (it is a double header showcase on an annual basis).

I mean, when that largest school is Georgia, the recruitment is still pretty impressive.
I don’t know, if you take him at his words, he stayed because its close to his sisters (who he has moved to Minnesota as a pro).
