I really wanted Michigan to face Mount St. Mary’s over Texas Southern in the 1/16 game last year because of the MSM point guard Damian Chong Qui. Turns out he has transferred to Purdue-Fort Wayne and we will get to face him after all!

I would like to say, today is one of my favorite days of the year. I love college basketball and I love this place. Without this forum, I have no one to discuss college basketball with. In my day to day life, there aren’t too many folks that are willing to break down Wednesday night Big Ten games between Rutgers and Nebraska. I’m so appreciative that I have umhoops and I can’t wait for another year. Happy basketball season everyone!

Cal is our first #brutality victim, losing at home to UC San Diego who just moved to D1 last season.
The universe demands a Cal, Georgia, Minnesota, Boston College, Iowa State, Depaul MTE.

UC San Diego has a very bright future in D1. Santa Barbara, Irvine, and Davis generally finish as the Big West top 3 in some order and even Riverside, the relative runt, has had a really nice rebuild the past four years.
Those would be nice teams to have local. They would be fun to follow.

Not thrilled to hear Jon Crispin with Bennetti on the OSU/Akron game. If Crispin is the Dakich replacement for B1G games not sure that’s an upgrade. And an upgrade on Dakich asking for much.

Lofton on SEC Network rn FWIW against Bama. Making some buckets and drawing fouls hitting the offensive glass. He’s really good at carving out space down there but man he really gets off the floor too.
Bama looks like Bama. Maybe can’t shoot but defends and runs and the floor spacing is good.
