If WF loses this it’s big for Michigan. Gives them more room if they lose tomorrow and almost assuredly gets them in with a win

Down goes WF!!! Huge for Michigan!!

Worst case, Wake is now a hard floor that we can’t fall behind. Best case, Miami now can’t get a good win tomorrow, and could get a bad loss, and it potentially devalued ND and Miami’s wins over Wake

Biggest BC fan in the world here. Can’t wait to angrily cheer for them tomorrow against Miami

If anyone’s looking for some hilarious laughs, Bobby Hurley and Guard U just managed to blow a 17 point second half lead, including up 14 with 3 to go, to lose at the buzzer in regulation to Stanford

Lunardi updates bracket; WF rises and Michigan falls

Butler and Xavier tied at 26 at the half on FS1. Another big one for Michigan, could knock out a second team below Michigan on the cut line

Sad state of affairs when I actually checked for an update because this is plausible

Yeah Xavier losing would be huge for us as well similar to Wake Forest. Just the Wake Forest loss takes a little pressure off but still beat Indiana.

I think I’ve figured out that the brackets that have Michigan lower (i.e. Play-in Game) lean heavier on Wins-Above -Bubble stat. Michigan is ranked 49th in WAB, which is the lowest of all “bubble” teams out of Xavier and IU.

Not sure how closely the committee lows at WAB, but even more reason to leave no doubt tomorrow

Up 14 with 3 minutes left? How do you manage to lose in that situation?

Committee uses SOR which is basically WAB and we’re 40th on that or there about. Most bubble teams are in the 34-50 range of SOR so we aren’t lagging in that

Up 14 with 3 minutes??? What a disaster

Wow I stopped following the game when I saw Wake up 10 points with 5 minutes left. What a collapse. There goes my favorite punching bag.

Good point. If Wake somehow made it in and Michigan didn’t, I’d be shocked. But I think they still have a decent shot. KenPom only dropped to 36, SOR will be around 40 I’m guessing. The resume falls apart from there but there are arguments for their inclusion even if I don’t personally believe they are in.

Yeah they still could make it, but I can’t really see an argument to put them in over Michigan unless SOR is rated 80% and overall record is the other 20%

Another not so great game going on here with Butler/Xavier. Xavier only up 2, butler has scored 2 points in last 5 minutes

Xavier intentionally fouls up 2 with 4 seconds left because the Xavier player thought they were up 3. Going to OT

What an insane ending to regulation. Scruggs was the hero with a second insane shot before fouling at midcourt up 2 because he thought Xavier was up 3. And he fouled himself out.

Holy poo I left the house with 30 seconds left assuming it was over
