College Basketball 2021-22 Open Discussion

Also, Jacksonville U and Jacksonville State represent different Jacksonvilles in different states. And not even in a cross-border shared metroplex way like Kansas City or Texarkana. They are 500 miles apart.

I most definitely donā€™t. Never have, never will.

If either of them are in the state of ohio, you should let us know.

Great news. Even if you find his volume a bit loud at time, the man is a college basketball icon and I hope heā€™s around the game for years to come.

Does anyone dislike Dickie V? College hoops icon and has done so much for a good cause.

As a person? Probably not. As an announcer? Heā€™s terrible.

Probably the fab five for his not so subtle remarks towards them

I meanā€¦ Itā€™s sort of like how I like BIll Walton while everyone else doesnā€™t seem to.

In this Bryant vs Wagner gameā€¦Peter Kiss makes Hunter look like Mr. Rogersā€¦

Since we have had a lot of weird shots go in against us, Iā€™m getting nervous with these conference tournaments!

So this Wagner vs Bryant gameā€¦ :joy:

Yeah that was a terrible set up with the Wagner fans right by the Bryant students. Woof.

Who is this Troy Machir? First, he has it wrong. It wasnā€™t ā€œa fight between Bryant fans and Wagner playsā€ whatever that means. It was some, Iā€™m guessing, loud and perhaps inappropriate Bryant fans (students) and the Wagner fans, possibly some or even many of them family of the Wagner players. I agree, @petere1588, it was a terrible fan configuration with no buffer between the two groups. And, no, this isnā€™t ā€œMARCHā€ or it shouldnā€™t be.

Iā€™m not a fan of Crispin, nobody on our forum is , but he is right, these games should be about supporting your team not fighting with opposing fans.

Finally, the altercation was as a result of inappropriate behavior by a handful of fans not an entire fanbase, but it certainly makes that fanbase look bad, and it detracted from what should have been a great celebration of a wonderful accomplishment, a conference championship and Bryantā€™s first ever NCAA Tournament appearance. THAT is what March should be about, conference championships and NCAA Tournament bids, Mr. Machir, not an altercation between fans.

So is LSU gonna have to vacate their big fat loss to us in the tourney

Apparently Kiss transferred from Rutgers and was a starter there at the beginning of the 2018-19 season before getting benched.

Sheesh, I guess Kiss has been quite an issue all year

That article bizarrely doesnā€™t get to the heart of what Kiss actually did, and this one only gives you a cursory review, because of course everyone knows about the Bryant-LIU game and what happened
