College Basketball 2021-22 Open Discussion

In all seriousness it is pretty rich to be talking about concerns about how a coach develops players when you clearly never made a choice based on that concern in the past.

I love that they pinned the response :joy::joy:

Kentucky and Auburn looked really impressive to me. Really like both those teams.

He looks really good. Love his presence at the rim on d. Moves his feet well.

They have a bunch of players I really liked coming out. Not sure how they suck so much.

Timberlake being such a non factor the last two years is not something I saw coming.

I really liked a lot of those guys individually though.

Penny not doing a good job imo,

Asserting that Gabe Brown isnā€™t playing to his potential during this season is pretty wild. Heā€™s been great and MSU is succeeding in large part due to him. I get the sentiment of the comment but I mean good lord be a little more self-aware Mr. Bates

Here comes Florida st. Was surprised they were struggling earlier this year. Havent watched much hoops this year so Iā€™m not sure why they were playing bad but they have a pretty loaded roster IMO.

Should be an interesting team late.

Thereā€™s this also. And then he deleted the account.

Emoney Bates. :moneybag:

Say what you will about Lavar Ball but all three of his sons are playing professional basketball, two of them became top 3 picks in the NBA. Lonzo and Lamelo are both very good players and the latter is one of the most exciting prospects in the league.

Lavar Ball must be doing something right.

He and Malone have their share of bad takes.

MSU fans have really weird takes on Emoni. ā€œYou suck, and you should have played for us.ā€

At least 2 of the 3 Ball brothers are good in the NBA. LiAngelo might have a shot if he wasnā€™t an idiot and wouldā€™ve stayed at UCLA for a few years to develop his game.

My coaching hill Iā€™m willing to die on, Shaka is a good coach. Marquette looks pretty solid for having Daryl Morsell as their best player. Shaka is doing well at Michigan on another timeline

I was definitely a fan of hiring him over cooley during the coach search

I think coaches need to find their level. Brady Hoke for example has found a home at a mid-major place and done well but was clearly over his head on the big stage. Shaka was similar. Marquette is a solid Big East team and his style of hard work, defense, and pressure is going to win him some games. When he was at Texas dealing with trying to recruit stars, changing his system, the spotlight, bigger conference, etc. it was a little much. Good for him to find a home that works.
