Is Memphis going to make the tournament? Are they still the conference favorites?

Whoops…

I’m sure the morale in the locker room is good right now

Penny pulled an Izzo and played 11 guys, all of whom took shots. Only two of them reached double figures. Somehow they shot 40% from three, hitting 8 of them, and still lost.

Memphis has a few easy wins coming up too… :joy:

So, Nebraska kinda suuuucks

Not only are they a bad team, but their effort is garbage. At least with the bodybag games a lot of the overmatched teams try hard. Not Nebraska, they’re more than happy getting run out of the gym.

Happy to see them twice!

Man, Hoiberg has been a disappointment. Do we have any faith at all he turns this around?

The whole “Massive Transfer to Constantly Redefine Your Roster” thing worked at Iowa State, right? No idea what his deal at Nebraska is right now.

And Wisconsin has scored 17 total points in the 10 minutes segments on either side of halftime at OSU. They had that dreadful first half against Indiana at home as well. Maybe they are who we thought they were. (Or that OSU is pretty tough at home which I tend to buy).

Losing Trey McGowens has killed them. He should be back sometime in January. He was the last player they could afford to lose. Not saying he’d be winning them games but they wouldn’t be getting drubbed they way they are.

Just seems inherently volatile. How sustained and consistent was his success at ISU? Maybe he’s just seeing the opposite end of a lucky streak now?

I think part of it was a moneyball thing…he was ahead of his time. Now everyone is using transfers and the market is different. I also have been astonished at just how bad his teams are though.

It worked when he was one of the only coaches building a roster with transfers, but now that everyone else has transfers too he loses his advantage that he had on the transfer market. College basketball is a completely different world than it was when he was at Iowa State

Has anyone else noticed the total reversal that LSU has done this year? They’re an awesome defensive team this year. They’ve had a pretty easy schedule thus far but seem legit.
