Bruce Weber under the radar. Knows B1G country, not a cheater.
Ed Cooley and Larry Krystowiak under the radar as well.

I mentioned Cooley too.
Hate weber
No thanks on Bruce Weber, heās never really done anything of note but lose with a lot of talent at Illinois
Steve Prohm at Iowa State is a somewhat young under the radar guy. He never changed Hoibergās system when he came on board.
Won a Big 12 at KState last year. Elite 8 with KSU two seasons ago.
Was thinking Greg McDermott, but learned heās involved in FBI probe.
Iām about as much a John Beilein homer as anyone can be, to the point that I sometimes warred with people here and at mgoblog when they rounded on him during periods of struggle, up through last year (when I decided they just werenāt worth the wasted breath). But I donāt see it as any kind of given that Beilein succeeds in the NBA.
You only have to succeed on your own terms in this life, and Iād assume that John Beilein knows his. To have toiled his way from the very bottom to the top of basketball may well be reward enoughāesp. when coupled with a salary that will keep his great grandchildren cushy through the end of the Anthropocene.
But I wonder if John isnāt just a little too much of a control freak to deal with NBA players. It will be fun to find out.
Billy Donovan and the Coach from Davidson ( canāt recall his name) are being bantied about. I would like Chris Beard myself. If they can fork out all that money for Harbaugh thy can pay the buyout for Beard.
Excuse me? Who is talking about 68 year old Bob McKillop?
That is not how it works. Do you tell your employer when you are interviewing for other jobs before getting them? Highly unlikely, and never in college hoops.
BTN for your info. Just love some of the newer guys within the last year on this sight who think they know everything.
Iāve been reading UMHoops for a long, long time. And I didnāt mean any offense to you, I just think the person on BTN that suggested that is dumb. They clearly just were trying to think of the most Beilein type personality they could find.
College coaches are not in a position where they will be fired for seeking other employment and the organization was kept in the loop last year when Beilein was pursuing the Pistons job.
The dynamics of a college coaching job are not even slightly comparable to a generic office job
Thanks for shaking my memory of McKellips name. Though I do agree with you that 68 is too old to be starting at a different program. Then again I guess JB being 66 not too old for the Cavs.
College Gameday loves Jim Beilein
We should go after Chris Beard, the buyout should not be an obstacle.
I canāt help but laugh out loud when something dumb like that happens, and especially on a day like this. Iāll take a little levity any way I can get it right now!
(meant as a reply to bucketsā post of the CGD tweet)
We should go after Brian Stevens, the Celtics head coach.
