Nomination for one of the worst D1 power conference gigs is TCU. They got Jamie Dixon only because he went there. They have made 4 NCAA Tournaments since 1971. It hasn’t gone well for Dixon to say the least. He’s only 55 though and I doubt he has forgotten how to coach.

yeah they probably have the lowest ceiling in Texas. Only four S16s, none in 53 years.
I wonder if EMU could be a landing spot depending on who they bring in to coach. They’ve tried so many different kinds of coaches since Ben Braun’s glory days that I have no idea who would want the gig. It’s gotta be one of the worst D1 jobs for a number of reasons.
EMU is a hard place to win games but it takes a special coach to overcome the hurdles. Chris Creighton did well at EMU Football and should be a lifer there. They need to find their Chris Creighton

I was hopeful for Murphy, as well. Being from Detroit, he should have come into the job knowing what to expect. I thought he would have been able to recruit the area better, but that didn’t happen neither. Either local MM talent knew about Eastern enough to stay away or they didn’t fit on a program that played the Syracuse zone and was looking for unicorns. In the end it was a JUCO conga line in and out of Ypsilanti.
Creighton has been nothing short of a miracle worker. They are slowly getting some local kids to stick around. They aren’t program changing talent, but it helps to not depend on blind-commit JUCOs and non-local players for your entire roster.
