That floor sounds about right - add in health as a determining factor too. We’re not a particularly deep (or perhaps proven/experienced would be a better word) team.
I would advise against adjusting ceilings and floors based on secret scrimmage results.

I honestly don’t think I can say with any confidence what the floor/ceiling is before I have seen at least one game with a first time head coach at the helm. There is experience on the team, but I have questions about offensive output/efficiency.

Pretty sure that Carton was hurt (he played last night) but I am not surprised that CJ is starting just given his experience.
Carton would have played more minutes at Michigan year 1 than he will at OSU: change my mind

Sure, but that’s also hindsight. It was a fair assumption at the time he committed that he’d be looking up at X and Poole instead of what we turned out to have.

That was my thought, too, but can he play the 2 guard? And if he can then the speculation would be, could he do it better than the players we have now. To be honest, I don’t much care for such speculation, though, because in promoting Carton’s abilities to play the position there would be those who would diminish the abilities of the players we have on the roster who are fighting for those 2 guard minutes in practice every day. And then, too, he’s not at Michigan so it’s a moot point.
