I would say both are gone for good. Fernando for sure. As for Cowan Iā€™m not sure how much better he can get over the next year. Seems like next year would be a rinse and repeat of the last two years. Heā€™s a very good player but not a ton of upside.

Weirdest thing with Cowen. I kept expecting a ā€œlight is onā€ moment for him this year, for lack of a better term, but he was always around very good but never ā€œholy sh*t!ā€

Felt the same way with Melo Trimble. Never really took the next step as a player. Doesnā€™t speak well to Turgeon and his rep (or lack thereof) for developing players.

Ayo coming back. https://twitter.com/ayodos_11/status/1119014560445263872?s=21

Wow I didnā€™t expect that. I assumed that he would at least test the waters. His NBA stock is higher than our guys. Illinois should be pretty good next year.

Glad to hear that re: Ayo, as I love to watch him play.

What Kyle says there is true but Iā€™d be shocked if Ward returned to MSU at this point.

Frankly, I love this. I sincerely hope everything works out well for this outstanding young man. I truly hope he has a terrific senior year EXCEPT when he plays the good guys in the Maize 'N Blue from AA!

Preseason favorites.

I hope they are. They always seem to struggle with high expectations.

Izzo to Cassius: You have unfinished business in East Lansing.
Izzo to Ward: Your business here is finished.
