So happy for Sissoko. What a game. Iâm glad things are finally looking up for him. He never gave up and probably has an awesome season ahead of him!
Hate to say but MSU you looked pretty good. Really good defense. Offense blah.
Kentucky 22-23 might be Michigan 21-22
Absolutely. And Michigan 22-23 might be Michigan 21-22.
Hoggard and Izzo are the two things I hate the most about MSU right now. So unlikeable characters. The rest of the team, I actually like them. Can it be the first season ever I actually am ok with them doing well (except against Michigan)?
Very possible!
Purdue down 2 at home to Marquette. Getting absolutely nothing outside of Edey, Smith, and Loyer.
No. They need to be bad this year because next year they are going to be stacked. If they return almost everybody from a very good team and add a top 5 recruiting class, Iâm going to be a sad panda
I didnât pay a ton of attention to UK last year but seems to me theyâre pretty similar to what they were last year? They have 4 guys pretty much any team would take conditional on Frederick being who he has been? And then itâs who knows what youâre getting in a given night.
But I think theyâll be pretty good and maybe even top 5.
Purdue now down 7.
Oh man Benetti and Raftery??? What a gift.
Izzo shortening the rotation has been a massive help for guys like Sissoko, Hauser. Allowed them to build some confidence.
Yup this yearâs roster forced Izzo into a good thing for his rotation. He canât be tempted to play an 11 man rotation without 11 players
Even their guards. Missed a million shots but they knew they had to keep putting them up. Will pay off down the road I think.
That said, it only works if those guys can actually score consistently.
I still canât believe MSU is actually good
I wish he had taken 5 horrendous ding dongs in the portal. 7 minutes apiece for a bunch of Kithiers
You played yourself
Hoggard milking that injury to kill the Kentucky odd-man break
But yeah, MSU plays such solid defense. Everyone sticks with their man, nobody gets blown by, everyone makes post-entries hard. Theyâre super old, well coached, and Sissoko is giving them the 95th %tile outcome they needed to have a chance at being a top 25 team this year.
Kentucky didnât have anyone who could create, other than Wheeler. Oscar also seemed kinda bad at establishing post position and demanding the ball? And everyone else was bad at getting it to him.
This MSU team is really good. Sis solo is a game changer. Even if the other bigs in the league can score, heâs so athletic and can put up enough on the other end I think to counter. This team is just full of scoring.
