In the case of the people the tweet is referring to, they are pros. Joey Hauser is not going to have the same NBA career as the others. Glad Izzo is âsticking with his guysâ instead of playing the portal.
Yeah I actually didnât even look if he was actually starting, but I shouldâve if I was making that claim. I was just speaking to the amount they were playing which was a lot. They were all big contributors. Draymond was 4th in MPG and FGA
Iâm not sure anyone is even saying that MSU had to recruit âstartersâ over his current guys from the portal. They literally could have recruited âhuman basketball playersâ over âempty chairsâ from the portal. No one says you need to find someone better than Hauser or Sissoko if you truly believe in them. The question is whether you should have found SOMEONE in case you need depth. Heck, maybe he could have recruited a player that would be the next development success story in their later years.
Such a myopic and self-serving answerâŚESPECIALLY since two of his starters are literally transfers. What the heck manâŚdoes anyone point that out to him?
Canât remember the exact phrasing but I seem to recall on the podcast the idea of hype like this being real vs. being hope. I feel like in the case of both Hauser and Wahl it feels like hope.
I donât think Hauser can guard anyone in college, let alone the NBA. However, I do think heâs going to be the type of player that has a long and solid career overseas.
On the Izzo hypocrisy, Iâve been told that one of his major motivators for not retiring is using his influence to lobby rollbacks of NIL/transfer rules
I caught an Izzo clip on the HUGE show today coming home from work and he was talking about he had players facing something âillegal nowadays called adversityâŚâ
