I have a umhoops tshirt at my parents’ house - literally no idea when I qualified for that!
I just mean that it isn’t somewhere that people want to be. Tough to recruit to. Bunch of better programs in PA. Most PA prospects aren’t anywhere near State College.
Going to have way better access to better players locally at ND. Admissions standards are an issue but that is manageable as we know.
And driving to a football game once a week is very different than to a basketball game on a Tuesday night at 9pm.

Had never thought of that last one, but driving home down those lonely central PA mountain roads. . . yeeps. We had a Jamaican friend in the English department there; she vamoosed after two years. Which. . . not to be snobbish, but she didn’t find it a comfortable setting.

I’m kind of getting pre-2020 vibes, when everyone had us top 10 with Iggy and Poole returning but we all knew that things were not trending that way and so it was always weird to see us ranked that high. Then we ended up not ranked at all to start the year

I think it’s a really nice town as college towns go, and a great setting if you like getting outdoors. But it is definitely very remote.

To be fair … Joe Lunardi bracket takes while he’s commenting the CBI are not really worth discussion. Doesn’t mean it is awesomely hilarious that they exist.

Yeah it’s obviously a bad deal, I’m just saying that I think the school doesn’t invest in the program, and a good coach won’t stay at bad facilities and poor investment for long.

Maryland snaking Justin Moore just doesn’t make a lot of sense unless he wants to be home and they’re paying an insane amount. I can’t imagine a blue blood that wouldn’t take him if he transfers (though I’m sure if he enters, backchanneling has been long underway)
Think there’s a good chance he portals but don’t think it will be to Maryland from what I’ve heard most recently.
Teammate w Hunter at DeMatha. Basketball Stags don’t go to UMD or get recruited by UMD, per Hunt.
