He’s not mocked anywhere
At least you’re mocked here
Well, that hasn’t stopped countless other guys from leaving.
I think the question with MSU is what happens to Walker, Hoggard, and Hall most of all. Technically Walker and Hall have used up 4 years and seem like they would normally just move on to their next chapter. If that happens, maybe Akins is content to be the starting 2 next year and they’re looking for a wing to replace Brooks/Hall/Hauser.
If most of that elder group runs it back again there’s a chance you could see Akins look for greener grass elsewhere that allows him to play more 2 than 3 and get more attempts than he would get in a logjam of guys running it back again.
do you interpret this as a farewell
Farewell Maryland, hello Georgetown and Hunter Dickinson.
Pretty sure they put Chase your Drems before squeezing that A in.
I actually like him as an off the bench big for 10-15 a night on a veteran team who just needs someone who will play hard and finish.
I’d personally take Edey in a physical menace off the bench role who drives opposing teams nuts on how hard he plays in a back to back on a ten game road trip on the opposite side of the country.
There is some usefulness in a huge body that is relentless and physical on a roster.
And to think some of you here complain about “effort issues”…
MSU has a full roster assuming no one transfer so someone will be transferring out as soon as their run in the NCAA is over.
Hauser has exhausted his eligibility. Tyson Walker is uncertain (I’m assuming Malik Hall is in the same situation as Walker). Assuming both Walker and Hall are back, there’s an overload of players on the roster including the 4 incoming freshmen. Who’s getting pushed out of the team if they’re recruiting for transfers? Pierre Brooks and who else?
MSU and Wisconsin the only B1G teams left. We officially got the bad ending.
Sophomore difference makers next year?
I think Okpara is going to be great next year, but it depends what happens with Zed Key. Hot take to say Dug will be better than Smith/Loyer? Derek Simpson looked good late once Pikiell handed him the keys but only good (not great) and we all remember the Rocket Watts hype based on his final 6-8 games as a freshman.
Two guys from the left column I suspect I’m higher on than most: Okpara and Kaufman-Renn
Two guys from the right column: Simpson and Cooper (maybe not a bold take, Izzo seems to like him over Kohler now)
Reneau will play 35 min a game next year and be asked to score, I think. Just needs one of the two bugs ahead of him to leave.
I think the PSU freshmen could end up pretty useful if Shrews sticks around.
TKR has great pedigree, but I wonder about him as kind of a shorter burly type 5 if he has to play full time. Can’t really bet against a Painter big, though.
Think the OSU guard duo will be annoyingly good too.
Well that settles it. Just hand us the trophy now.
