Why does Purdue struggle with the press so much?

I’m not sure this Purdue team is built to make a run in the tournament. If they can’t just set up in the half court and dump it to Edey, they have a tough time. I think their guards will struggle in that environment

Purdue’s resume just feels so underwhelming since November. Feels like it was more about beating up on teams they matched up well against than anything.

Purdue has been so blah in conference that they almost lost to us.

And even November, Duke and Gonzaga are still good wins, but not as good as it seemed at the time. This isn’t your father’s Duke squad and Gonzaga isn’t at the same level as they have been the last few years. FSU was their ACC challenge opponent and they stink.

It’s also just hard to win on the road. There’s some middle ground where Purdue is not the No. 1 team in the country but still a top five in the country. I think you’d probably hope they split their hard road games, not lose all of them though.

Hard to find an unblemished team this year when you have a team like Houston losing at home to Temple. Or a team like Tennessee that is just dreadful offensively.
