Big Ten Basketball 2022-23 Discussion

players Terrance Williams (Michigan), Moussa Diabate (Michigan) and Jahcobi Neath (Wisconsin) throwing punches. All three served one-game suspensions

Oh that’s a load of bs. Neath sucker punched our guys. Wisconsin scummiest institution out there. I can’t wait for tomorrow.

I have no problem with Juwan. I respect him

Good because I don’t respect you. It’s wraps tomorrow. Let’s get wicked

He’s pretty conciliatory, though. And mentions some personal ties that pre-dated the altercation. Grudgingly, I’m gonna have to admit to being a little won over? Probably part of a devious charm offensive that sees them pinching and secretly gouging our players, us having no way to retaliate without looking bad, but whatevs.

If Gard isn’t wearing a “Coach Howard, will you be my Valentine?” shirt, I’ll be crestfallen.

C’mon. Don’t be ridiculous. What kind of coach would dress up for a holiday during a game???

Angry Elf is pretty on brand, though. I wouldn’t be surprised if not a lot of people even noticed.

If Penn St can make the tournament, I could see them pulling an upset or two. Have experience, shooters, and a point guard bucket getter. On the other end, Illinois has the look of a team that could get bounced early

Par for the course for the Illini

I like this idea with Penn St. too but unless they have a NCAA site at State College I can’t see it.

Totally different team away from home.

Mawot Mag ACL → 3-game Rutgers losing streak. The defensive on/off stuff painted a really grim picture of what swapping Mag for Hyatt would mean – especially on D.

RU allowed over 1 PPP in last three included 1.2 (!) tonight.

I liked Mag and thought he was a fine player but had no idea that he was this vital to their success.

He was basically our only two way player. Mulcahy’s a bad defender (and has been bad offensively too). Spencer is very limited defensively outside of getting a hand in passing lanes sometimes. Hyatt’s bad on defense. McConnell is useless offensively. Omoruyi… I dunno, he’s not as good on either side of the ball as it feels like he should be.
