Big Ten average for points per 100 possessions is 103.1 … MSU has gone under that in 7 of its last 8 games. Currently 11th in Big Ten offense at 99.5.
I’d argue his ball-handling has improved. As have his kick-outs. But more importantly, he panics far less when doubled in the post. He’s calmer. He’s a senior. Good on him.
Massive game for Penn state tonight.
I don’t understand Penn State anymore
Penn Stank
Almost like they are a team of mid-major all stars that live and die by 3-point variance.
That has been unbelievable at home tho
And “mid-major all stars” would be you giving Wisconsin a compliment. They’re getting whatever they want at the rim with zero resistance
Yeah, PSU’s problem is it doesn’t really have Big Ten-quality defenders though. And it doesn’t really have the talent to overwhelm most teams.
The only way they can really get away from a team is if they are making threes.
Wisconsin 2pt shooting vs PSU 2 pt defense. Movable object vs. stoppable force
I’m gonna need all the Shrewsberry hype to die immediately if he loses this game because he comes up with nothing strategically to stop Tyler Wahl and Steven Crowl from backing down his 6’6” centers for uncontested layups.
So Michael Henn is now a 25-30 minute guy for PSU?
Just in case you need another reason to hate Wisconsin basketball…
Shrewsberry is livid because Wisconsin with a subtle push to the ball screener, inducing a “moving screen” call. Such bush league stuff they pull!
At some level though you got to admire their dedication to their craft, no matter how Krabby it is.
I, for one, am rooting for Wisconsin to lose.
Back to back 3s! Let’s go Penn state!
I know State College is in the middle of nowhere but I’m amazed that they can have no one in the stands behind the basket.
Okay, was it a poor pass but the Wisconsin defensive back, er, defender had his hand wrapped around the Penn State cutter and the ref didn’t see it. This answers the question “What happened to Jim Leonhard?” Jim Leonhard has surfaced as an analyst for Wisconsin basketball. And then Hepburn drills a step-back three.
Too many GD timeouts. Hepburn can shoot 3s tho
Can’t believe that worked, almost give up a 5 second call, sprint to the 3 point line and jack up a fadeaway 3 with 22 left on the shot clock and it drops.
Shrewsberry does not deserve this win.
Benches Pickett at the U4 until 1:12 with 4 fouls (3 point lead goes to a 2 point deficit)
Out of a timeout draws up a play for Pickett to stand in the corner while another guard hits Funk on a curl (instant turnover)
Out of next timeout Lundy saves him with an iso prayer
