Big Ten Basketball 2022-23 Discussion

Every time I am about to say something negative about how Hall never reaches his potential he confidently demands the ball and hits a fade away 15 footer.

Malik Hall is the best player in the B1G.

I miss when college basketball games would wrap up in two hours. Not even midway through the second half, sheesh.

I don’t know what that call was on Reese. Another questionable offensive foul called on the visiting teams big guy tonight for his fourth. Then MSU hits two threes while Young doesn’t get a call going for a layup.

Walker also would frustrate me if I were an MSU fan. He looks so good at times and then just disappears for long stretches.

Msu is 9/20 from 3 compared to Marylands 3/21 and yet msu is not winning by much. A poor performance saved by 3 point variance

Maryland is like 0-5 on wide open threes just in the last 3-4 minutes

I hate the concept (data/reality) that both of these teams are better than Michigan.

Find someone who loves you as much as Tom Izzo loves intentionally fouling in the last minute of a game.

Wait did MSU foul on purpose?

They said so. If it was 1 and 1 its not terrible but 2 shots?

Just weird strategy to allow Maryland the opportunity to score with the clock stopped and extend the game with a lead

Three- and five-second calls are the least precise substance known to man.

Aiken’s dunk and reaction has been called tech in other games this year.

At least three seconds there’s a lot of moving parts. 5 second calls should be pretty damn consistent.

Akins flirted with both a travel/hang on the rim, Hall and Hoggard threw gutsy/crazy passes, but Maryland did nothing to deserve to win that game down the stretch

Who was it in our best interests to have win?

Guessing it might be better for Sparty to do well with our chance to play them still, but I don’t think it mattered all that much.

Maryland. No question. Currently our home win against them is Q1. If they fall below 30 it becomes Q2. They were #27 going into tonight. MSU is unlikely to ever get to Q1 for Michigan so the home game against them won’t be as big for the resume.
