I like rooting for NW so beyond the Wisconsin stuff, I’m happy to see NW win. But man if Collins saves his job by making the tourney this year, I can’t imagine NW is in for anything other than another long drought with many years spent in the basement after this season

Especially since we’re strongly trending towards that being a borderline Q1 game. Should either be one of our “easiest” Q1 opportunities left, or a Q2 game of which we probably can’t afford to lose too many more.

I think every school needs to coordinate a collaborated booing effort for Wisconsin at the B1G tournament. Just boo them the second they step on the court (shoot around/warm-up) and never stop until the game is over. They need to know their place.

Agree. Think we should call a players only meeting and emphasize how important a Wisconsin win would be for both the program and the university’s psyche.

Wisconsin shot 39% from 3 and made 9 and lost! And only scored 51 points! They shot worse than that from 2 and shot under 50% from the FT line. That’s disgusting. Their offense should be studied because it’s so bad

Man does the collapse at Iowa sting every time I look at that chart. So many things had to happen for that to become a loss and without it we are sitting in pretty good shape. Now we are taking one game at a time hoping to stay hot.

You’ve really nailed it here, because while Wisconsin was always disgusting, they were awful with integrity back in the day. Back when they used to beat Beilein’s teams on the regular.
(I think Beilein won a couple against them toward the end, but through 2017 he was 2 and 16 against Wiscosnin, according to one bitter poster at mgoblog, who insisted that Beilein made too much money to disgrace Michigan so badly so often against one school.)
Bo might have almost single-handedly destroyed the B1G’s basketball reputation (with a helping hand from ‘Lunchpail’ Tom Izzo) but he had a system. He had his little dances. For god’s sake, he had a personality.

Feel like UM and Penn state will be grouped together the next month here. Don’t let that score during the THON game in State College fool you. Michigan is 100% for the kids and wanted good vibes for all involved that day. That’s why we lost by a million
