Kendall Brown with a quintessential freshman star game. Making all sorts of mistakes defensively, highlight plays, celebrating his dunk and giving up a transition foul the other way. The total package. He’s going to be really good though.

Yep hitting the Baylor line sometime in the first half would have been a good play. I’ll put Baylor up there with anyone outside of Gonzaga.

Based on what? They destroyed their three cupcakes + Stanford, soundly defeated ASU and VCU, and now they’re up 15 on MSU. Sure, they’re probably not a title favorite like last year but I’d say they’re still very good.

Baylor looks to me like the ceiling/finished product version of Michigan. No elite shooting but length or athleticism or smoothness at different spots, big slam jams and ORebs and FTs.
Akinjo takes a terrible airball 3, follows it up with steal and then completes a terrific and-1.

Cryer, Mayer and Flagler all take and make tons of threes. Akinjo was 40% on 5 attempts a game last year at arizona. They have shooting.

I made my post watching the first half when they trailed MSU, we’re not playing good defense and we’re just chucking up long shots. You commented after they went up 15.
Well they are 127th in 3P% and 268th in 3P rate as a team. This Michigan roster should be able to match that

Fair enough. I guess my issue was more with the statement that they are/were just as overrated as Michigan. Whereas Baylor has not lost and handily dispatched MSU in the second half, Michigan has one game all season where the outcome was not in doubt late in the second half. (Well, two, because the Arizona game had long been decided by the latter stages of the second.)

Seriously…It’s so dumb. Bufkin can help us immensely and watching Akins blossom because he’s given a chance simultaneously stinks. Pierre Brooks hit a three yesterday and I almost lost it. Just give the kid a shot
