I guess BQ was right about the high scoring MSU game…though it never quite felt fast paced. But maybe I am judging it relative to this UK/Duke game.
They should have kept Tim Miles. I liked that guy.
He knew a good toilet when he saw one
So the only thing UNL did well was get fouled against a team that’s been ranked in the 300s more often than the 100s in the KenPom era? Yikes.
I think the primary actions Izzo drew up emphasized guys who aren’t as likely to be playmakers as others he could have dialed up.
Which I suppose could mean he hasn’t seen enough from Walker and Christie to put the ball in their hands. In which case they’re right back to where they were last year.
Zero good? The good that came from it is that it bugs the hell out of them and their fan base, because deep down they know it is true.
So glad it’s basketball season and you are back to being your regular self. You’ve clearly been waiting for the day college basketball returned too!
MSU played 21 different lineup combinations as compared to 12 for Kansas. I guess you can still conceivably play more guys in certain groups but Izzo was really throwing different ideas out there.
Yeah, Kansas had 3 constants and two rotating spots. MSU had 2 slightly less constants and 3 rotating spots. Kansas played 11 guys though.
Were Curbelo and Frazier hurt for Illinois? Didn’t play this evening
He didn’t even play!
Ya’ll see what Keegan Murray did last night? Better than Garza already
'tis the season of Iowa buy games and early victory laps
How did I totally miss that Zeljko Rebraca’s son plays for Iowa now?
OMG instant memory of the days when it seemed the Pistons would just never have a solid big and all the feelings associated. Wallacex2 would soon arrive…
Suddenly, I feel very old.
Hot take: People are overreacting to the MSU point guard situation from last night. I don’t think Hoggard was as good as people are saying (almost half of his offense came from transition layups where no one picked him up) and I don’t think Walker was as bad as people are saying.
