I remember some people thinking that Davison posting up on Mike Smith would be an issue last year
The more I thought about it the more I felt like this was gonna happen
Today I learned averaging 10 points per game and shooting 35% from the field makes you a star.
I mean, I just… see, here’s the thing. What the absolute @#$%!?
This is absolutely shameful. Is this a list of players that Katz likes the best? Talent, productivity and value cannot be the criteria for this list.
So 3 more questionable spots on the list (8-10). And if we assume Andy’s boy Geo gets one of those spots then that means only 2 players from this list will make the top 20: Houstan, Devante, Murray, Harper, Christie, Scott, Edey, Sueing. Meaning 6 of these guys will be left off the list in favor of Audige, Fatts, Bohannon, McGowens. fantastic
Ahh for cripes sakes Andy be better. This list is ridiculous absolutely ridiculous and I don’t really care who the top 10 are now because 20-11 is terrible. Davison better than Ayala??? GTFO here Andy.
Give me whatever 2 don’t make that list. Give me Dante Scott/Pete Nance and a 5th guy and my 5 beat Andy’s 20-11. Hell give me Harrar if I need a big or Pickett.
Is there literally a single metric other than trips and nut punches and inverse melanin count where Davison exceeds Ayala? This is like when David Eckstein used to get all-star votes.
At least Aaron Craft was a tangibly good defender.
Floor burns baby, floor burns!!!
Rules made specifically to thwart
They might want to close down comments for this tweet.
I’m guessing this is a “let’s make sure there’s one player from each team” kind of deal.
Can’t wait to see the Gopher they include in the top 10.
Can put Davison 20th (still too high) if you feel required to include as many teams as you can. Or put Johnathan Davis in and use a little forward thinking for once
So…why do we pay attention to these kinds of lists. Did Katz just put this out so people would talk about him. You know, like all publicity is good publicity no matter how bad it is. Now if he had to explain how he came up with each of these picks, that would be fun. You know, like why he included certain players but left others off, what metrics, if any, he used in compiling the list, what he was drinking, or smoking when he made certain picks, THAT would be telling!
The 8th best player in the Big Ten this year is… Nate Mason?
Davison: 10 ppg / 2.4 apg / 3.3 rpg / 51.8 TS%
Ayala: 15.1 ppg / 2.2 apg / 4.3 rpg / 58.1 TS%
Even if you desperately just wanted to put Davison on the list just because, how can you put him so high!
Honestly it wouldn’t be Michigan if some absurd situation like Davison dropping 30 in post up situations against UM but having 4 points in post up situations the rest of the year didn’t happen. Every year 1 random player catches fire against us.
Edit: this list is garbago.
I feel that hahaha, Duane Washington last year was a pretty classic example. But relying on a small guard posting up as a consistent means to score was always gonna be a stretch.
