Izzo likes bigger rotations so even if Akins is #9 then he’ll play a decent amount (at least relative to most teams #9 guy). That being said, it feels like MSU isn’t going to hit their ceiling if Akins is behind Hoggard in the depth chart. Maybe Hoggard makes a leap this year…but…uh…I’m not putting money on that.
Izzo compared AJ Hoggard to Mateen Cleaves and Julius Marble to Xavier Tillman in this presser
I have no idea how to process that comment
Sick self-burn, Archie.
Nebraska has one of the best backcourts in the country
Country or county?
This is why we have emojis now
Archie clearly in the get old as hell and can’t with frosh mode after his failure at Indiana. Seems like sour grapes to me, pros mixed with age still wins the most. Ums has had some very young teams do well in the b1g.
Was his reasoning that we are too young? I didn’t listen to the whole thing to listen to what Archie Miller had to say about our team
“It’s the hardest league for freshman to succeed in”
We’re starting 1 freshman! 3 seniors! 2 of them super seniors!
Coaching is hard. Thinking is too, apparently.
“Show me where Khristian Lander hurt you.”
You will probably hear more of Archie since he’s doing stuff in the media now.
Archie Miller is a lot more believable when you pretend he’s a secondary character in Succession, like a spoiled second cousin in the Roy family whose business ventures constantly fail. That makes way more sense than when you try to consider Archie Miller Successful Basketball Coach
Buckets what’s up with your buddy DK? I used to be able to read his basketball stuff but when it comes time to MSU he comes off as a huge slappy. Then you can’t really have a conversation about basketball.
And a sophomore All American!
MSU was #26…
What were they ranked at the end of last year? Oh, that’s right, UNRANKED! And they lost three starters! Hmmm…
