Dang I’m bummed. Was enjoying reading all the Hoggard hype. Also bummed that we get nothing like this. Is something like this planned at all?
Note that Walker is a junior and Hoggard is a sophomore LOL

I don’t think there is anything that can be said or done that would get me excited about Zach Edey. He is an inherently flawed player and I don’t think he has the tools to takeover a basketball game at the B1G level. I don’t see him as anything other than a side note on the scouting report: “Oh, and don’t forget about Edey. Can’t let him get to his spot in the paint. Deny him the entry pass and that should be sufficient.” There are no further dimensions that need to be accounted for.

I do think he can have a pretty significant impact defensively if he can just dominate the paint but there are always going to be some weaknesses there too, I see what you are saying.

I would agree. He can be very impactful on defense against most teams. I don’t see him being a major defensive factor against Michigan though. Looking at him through my lens, or Michigan’s lens, there’s really nothing to be concerned with. But, he could go all Miley Cyrus and run through Michigan like a wrecking ball and I’ll feel dumb. But I don’t see it.

I loosely remember him dominating against Michigan and Dickinson whenever he was on the court.

He cleaned up on the boards and had 3 blocks in 14 minutes against us, but he only had 4 points.
Not sure how much was against Dickinson as opposed to Davis though.

To be fair, someone asked me knowing the response he would give. I think he’s off a bit with the kids leftover in the portal point because that’s mostly due to the extra year.
