Big Ten Basketball 2021-22 Discussion

Are we assuming that Christie is not returning?

it appears to be widely accepted on all their boards at this point that Christie is gone either way, by the draft or the portal. I’ve seen Duke and Northwestern (!) as destinations

From everything I’ve heard that’s a safe assumption. Not confirmed yet but everyone would be shocked if he did.

There is nothing that he is saying or doing that would be indicative of someone returning.
Guess he could but that would require a significant change of direction.
And anyone saying anything to the contrary is uniformed or intentionally misleading.

In fact, more I read stuff on these internet sites, the more I’m convinced that commentary is done from a fan or wishful thinking perspective as opposed to a solid knowledge one.

A situation where his folks have an inflated opinion of his abilities and/or had unrealistic expectations of how things would go at MSU IMO.

Seems almost personal.

Except when he puts up 27 at your place and you lose to said “non-hatable team” and they’re not so
non-hatable anymore. :rage:

Agree b1g neutral site stuff should rotate way more, indy is a great host but other cities and fan bases deserve the travel advantage.

either pure rotation or pure Chicago. way too much Indy IMO

thank goodness joe hauser is coming back

keeping the roster spot away from someone who could actually be a good basketball player

I have to assume the Horizon League keeps getting in the way of the B1G Tournament being in Detroit.

They played at Cleveland for the conference tournament last season FWIW. Given the choice, Detroit would prefer B1G over Horizon 10 out 10 times

Dylan preferring Indy to Chicago for the B1G Tourney is his worst take.

Disagree. United Center is not by anything

They haven’t been in Detroit for the past couple years because they weren’t pulling in the attendance to justify the cost

In the city of Chicago?!?! Oy vey. I’ve walked home from the UC and I don’t live in East Garfield Park.

Chicago is the worst BTT host.
