Big Ten Basketball 2021-22 Discussion

I’ll give you some props cause I think I was the main opposite end there, and even if it can be argued it’s close and you were closer to the truth than I was

Iowa this year is better than Iowa last year imo…

By what measure though? Both teams closed the regular season really strong. Last year’s team had way more quality wins, got a better NCAA Tournament seed, had better predictive metrics, won more league games in a better conference, had a better conference EM in a better conference, etc.

I definitely think there’s a degree of grading on a curve to how we see this Iowa team (expected nothing) to last year’s team (expected top 10 or whatever).

Maybe this team wins more than 1 game in a postseason tournament but it is also still Fran so TBD.

Yeah, it’s more of a “look test”, I just trust them a lot more in the tournament than last year’s Iowa team. To your point, they probably won’t make it out of the first weekend because Fran

Dang man, I was going to give you your props. Then Dylan just came through and decimated your happiness.

He does that. I’m still taking my victory lap. We all know Dylan loves Fran and Garza above all.

Didn’t you say on the last moving screen pod that this year’s Iowa team is better?

 Maybe? But I also just looked back at Iowa’s resume last year and it looks shockingly like this team’s. I didn’t remember how many good wins they had down the stretch last year. I’m worried about the Fran Fade this year after looking back.

The B1G’s all screwy. Just noticed Michigan is above Wisconsin on kenpom.

Chase Audige and Alonzo Verge doing what they do down the stretch.

Some incredible final possessions by Nebraska there…

Nebraska died doing what they loved, turning the ball over on out-of-control hero ball drives.

Is that clock right? Iowa with 91 points and over ten minutes left? Wowsers.

Don’t make me put Iowa in the Sweet Sixteen Fran! Stop tempting me!

Is Pete Nance grad transferring? His answer about his NW career certainly sounded like he was grad transferring.

Oh man I’d take him in a heartbeat. Michigan was runner up out of HS, but it was also Beilein that recruited him

Co-sign on that!

Not really our need but he’s really good so would be hard to say no

Didn’t even mean from a Michigan POV necesarily, just was listening to the presser in the background and he talked about going home and taking about his future in a strange way
