This day is called the feast of Crispian:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say ‘To-morrow is Saint Crispian:’
Then will he bare his ears and show his scars.
And say ‘These wounds I had on Crispin’s day.’
Seeing MSUs offense evolve into Hoggard layups and Marble postups is…uh…interesting. They haven’t used Hall enough and apparently the PG position isn’t quite as solved as it seemed.
Basically what everyone’s offense devolves into versus Illinois: point guard making plays.
“Once more into the breach, dear friends”
“No thanks.”
Malik Hall’s game is spot up threes or high-post ISOs. I don’t think Izzo loves the latter in general
For MSU, how many players do we think will be available to speak to the media after today’s game?
If Izzo keeps haranguing the refs–because he’s such a competitor–they’ll soon be giving Juwan a Tech.
For U of I, how many banners do they get to hang if no MSU players are available to talk after the game?
Halftime shows graphic of B1G POY contenders had Murray, Davis, Cockburn and no Liddell
Or Ivey. Seems … off.
They did acknowledge they couldn’t fit everyone…then proceeded to lobby for Davis as POY.
They showed an interesting graphic of past 20-11 scorers. It was a bunch of good NBA players and Luke Harangody.
Some of you are really harsh with Frankie. He’s got a really solid handle and he’s delivered some nice passes this year. I do agree Curbelo displayed greater passing vision in his freshman year but he also had a significantly stronger squad around. Not saying he’ll be as good as Curbelo but he’s definitely got potential.
Does that count as a UMHOOPS tweet being referenced on air?
We are going to see with Frankie. When you have that incredible athleticism in high school you can just lean on it. If the decision-making can catch up, I bet we’ll see a good chunk of that improvement by next off season.
Watching the State game and I swear Bingham took at least three little baby on that three. Didn’t notice live, but I swear those feet were pitter pattering. Announcers didn’t say a word about it, though, so maybe it didn’t happen.
Frazier and Curbelo a combined 0-10 from the floor–0-7 from 3. And yet up 14.
MSU is actually playing good defense and it’s keeping them in it.
Also, vet move by Izzo to NOT yell at the refs for the obvious missed call. Save the yelling for the 50-50 calls.
Actually, he just had a conversation with the official and then turned away and used his anger to fire up the fans who, for a second time, let that ref know!
going be very jealous/irritated if illinois gets kofi back for another year and we lose hunter after two
