I’m not ignoring this I just forget which play it was
Feel like we say this every year given that Izzo plays a ton of guys and “weird” lineups but I’m not sure what he is getting with the Hauser/Hall 4/5 combo over playing Bingham more. And going further, less Hoggard and less Hauser in general would make them a better team.

Hahaha, this was the MSU play where Izzo lit into Tyson. I’m not sure what he did wrong. Illinois defended it well but I think it’s a fine set.

Ohhhh, that explains it. I thought you meant MSU’s last set. Illinois’ late-game stuff was rough but also limited options.

I wasn’t able to watch. Why did Bingham not play more considering he had one foul? Just another Izzo oddity or something with the matchups?
MSU posters were saying post-Covid recovery
He missed the Oakland (I think?) game with COVID but Izzo has been complaining about him walking back on defense publicly not saying he’s recovering from COVID, so hard to really know.
Illinois just stopped running offense in the last few minutes, had Frazier dribble out the first 20 seconds of every possession and just try to make a play. Only up 4 with 2 minutes left, you need to still run some offense.

Half their shots being other 2s. If they do that this weekend we have a good shot. But considering how many times we have kept a team under .95ppp….
It’s just what Izzo does. I’m not defending it, but he just goes off irrationally at times. Well, actually a lot. I think mostly it’s an act and his players understand that’s just what he does, but sometimes, and this may have been one of those times, he just goes off with a fit of irrational anger.
Sounds like the board was rooting for Illinois. I must say that my hatred for the Illini has grown so much I’m not sure which way I would have gone.

I mean the refs hold a grudge against Habaugh, but everyone knows what izzo covered up and never answered for. All there is no hate towards him being a scumbag.
Oh I absolutely agree. It’s part of the program and it works for them. The whole program runs hot and I think everyone would swear that it brings them closer together and is a part of why some of their most successful teams have made runs.
Not the only way to do it, but it is how they do it.
